NatGeo to tell Barrett family story

In addition to showcasing the dynamics of a family-owned business and the decision-making process, the program will take the viewer on a tour of how raw steel enters the factory door and ends up being a Barrett rifle that will be used by the United States military, law enforcement agencies, civilian sport shooters or an American allied government somewhere in the world. "Our story has been shown before on national television, but either as something specific to the firearms industry or a political stance that we've taken on behalf of Second Amendment rights," Ronnie Barrett said in the news release. "This documentary by National Geographic explains how our family business functions on a day-to-day basis and how Chris, Angela and I interact with our employees to produce quality products while planning for future growth.

Stylist Spotlight: Rosemary Ponzo, the Real Deal | Fidoo Stream

We have often heard the figure of speech “a jack of all trades, master of none,” which aptly applies to some posers who work hard to get recognition in the fashion industry, but their product pales in comparison. Rosemary Ponzo is a master at several trades, with a reputation and accolades to back her up. Every season, during NY Fashion Week, Rosemary makes her presence known with her eye-catching hats, but she is so much more than your average NY socialite. From styling celebrities like Prince and Gwyneth Paltrow, to costuming the History Channel’s “The Roman Era,” to designing amazing hats that have been profiled in the New York Times , Rosemary Ponzo is a force to be reckoned with.  After over two decades in the industry, Rosemary Ponzo is still hitting her stride, inspiring young designers and stylists, and expanding her brand.

Rosemary Ponzo brought her indelible wit, wisdom and straight talk to an interview with Fidoo.

Your resume is prolific, as well as, impressive, what do you like most, styling for magazines or film and television?

Rosemary Ponzo:  I love styling for film and television most because you are traveling with your talent throughout the storyline via clothes. When you are styling for a magazine editorial, unless you are doing a five-page spread, the arch is essentially the same. Film and television is more of a collaborative effort, every department works together to make the film work.

Your work is so varied, from styling Gwyneth Paltrow to Prince, where does this eclecticism come from?

Rosemary Ponzo:  My eclecticism comes from being a New Yorker and witnessing all the diversity NYC has to offer. I am also very well-traveled and I feel that with the proper research I can style anyone, any film, or any project. As a stylist you have to be alert on how people dress, whether they are appropriately dressed or look disheveled.

How did you nab the opportunity to style Prince?

Rosemary Ponzo:  Prince cancelled his dates at Radio City in the late 90s and his team had hired me and some other designers to come up with some sketches for his appearances at Radio City. MY sketches were very 70s influenced.

Who are some of the hottest designers right now that you are pulling from?
