Navigant legion decks Collette Vacations

As it turned out, Navigant scored all the offense it would need in the first 10 minutes of the contest. With two outs and a runner on first, NCU strung together three straight hits off Collette starter Max Perry. Dan Rivera singled, Perrico followed with an RBI single and then Wigberto “Bam-Bam” Rodrigues bashed a two-run triple to deep centerfield. Perry’s sudden resurgence was short lived as Navigant opened up the floodgates in the fourth with five runs, four of which were tagged to the ex-Shea High standout and the other to reliever Tyler Drainville. Kory Lawrence had a two-run double and teammates Louis Chala (single), Tyler Geffert (triple) and Kevin Okruta (single) also would have run-scoring hits. Down by a score of 8-0, the best opportunity to do some damage by Collette occurred in the fourth inning where it loaded the bases with no outs. But Perrico got out of the inning nearly unscathed, allowing just one run and finishing with a pair of strikeouts and a groundout. Nate Patch began the inning with a single. Perry reached base on an error and the bags filled up when C.J. Lapierre singled. The lone run was scored with one out when Nick Gagnon’s infield hit was fielded by Geffert. The third baseman threw home for the force out, but a sliding Patch managed to beat the throw.

Where you can relax with your family and enjoy the vacation. Like the OuterBanks 4×4 beaches, quiet, remote, gorgeous, (wild horses – plus the beaches for lil ones to enjoy), huge homes to rent that have everything…

Look into the area around Lake George NY. I think the Adirondacks are the best kept vacation secret in the US. Lake George is huge and the area is really beautiful. Hard to believe it’s in the same state as NY city. Lake Placid is another beautiful spot, although I’d just day trip there from LG. Lots of history around, Fort Ticonderoga is at the northern end of Lake George.

Another option is either Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. Both are the kind of place where you rent a house and just relax. Both are also very expensive, but then there is a reason all the celebrities summer on Nantucket.

Also, Cape Cod – in particular Chatham, which is right at the elbow.

There are other large lakes in New England that you could vacation on too. Lake Winnipesaukee or Squam Lake (where On Golden Pond was filmed) in NH, Sebago Lake or Moosehead Lake in Maine.

Vermont “in general” is one of my favorite places to go for a short vacation, usually stop for a day or two when we go to LG. Not a lot of people, very Mayberry. Although it’s a different kind of vacation, go to B&Bs – maybe go fly fishing or horseback riding… Stowe is a beautiful destination.

Last best kept secret is Biddeford Pool, ME. You can rent a beach house there for less than MV or Nantucket, the beach is beautiful and it’s sort of OBX like, except the ocean water on that side of Cape Cod is pretty dang cold until mid-late August.

I agree with the first poster about The White Mountains in NH. GORGEOUS. There is quite a bit to do.

Although I have to say that one of the single most beautiful places I’ve seen in this country is the area around Bar Harbor, Maine (Acadia Nat’l Park). Absolutely breathtaking & you get the cliffs that go right down to the ocean.
