Raymore-Peculiar Reviews Incident On School Bus - Kansas City News ...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Raymore-Peculiar School District said it is looking into an incident last week on a school bus involving a couple of students and the bus driver.
A school district spokeswoman said two students at Eagle Glen Intermediate School were involved in a fight, and the bus driver stopped the bus and told the students to sit down. Video that surfaced on YouTube after the bus driver had stopped the bus appears to show the driver physically restraining one of the students. The Apple Bus Co., which handles student transportation, is also reviewing what happened. Eagle Glen student Madison Thurman told KMBC 9 News that stories of the bus incident are quickly making the rounds at school. "They're just saying that the bus driver strangled a kid," she said. "It's all over our iPod and stuff." A district representative said no one was strangled and that she believes the driver is still on the job. She said the two students suspected of fighting will not be riding the bus until the investigation is complete. Most district buses have cameras on board to record activity in the back. This particular bus did not, the district said.Raymore Peculiar School District - Bookshelf
