UGA names 2 interim vice presidents
Jennifer Frum will become interim vice president for public service and outreach, while J. Griffin "Griff" Doyle will be interim vice president for government relations.
Wrigley was filling both those jobs until new University System Chancellor Hank Huckaby named him to the vice chancellor position Monday.
Like Wrigley, Huckaby is a former UGA vice president. Both men also served under former Georgia governor and lieutenant governor Zell Miller.
Frum and Doyle will assume their new duties Friday, the same day Wrigley officially starts in the vice chancellor job.
Frum is now interim director of UGA's Carl Vinson Institute of Government, but will now appoint another person to fill that role, said UGA Provost Jere Morehead.
Frum has worked at the Vinson Institute since 2006 and before that was assistant director of UGA's Office of International Public Service and Outreach.
She will be in the interim vice president post for six to nine months while UGA conducts a national search for a new vice president for public service and outreach.
Doyle's interim appointment is for six months, also while UGA conducts a nationwide search for the government relations vice presidency.
Doyle has worked at UGA since 1997 and since 2003 has been the university's director of federal relations. Previously he was associate vice president for economic and community development.
The University System of Georgia Board of Regents announced May 6 that Huckaby, 69, would replace Erroll Davis, who is retiring after five years as the state's top higher education administrator.
